Here u go - MY MASK

A very colorful mask . This mask represented me . A happy , hyperactive , mischievous mask .

the left side , i applied the color of orange for the background is because orange represented happy and mischievous . And i used black to make a back circle around the eye , and a really mischievous eyebrow . A very strong feelings , when u see that you wanted to punch me . The right side of my mask , applied as colorful , hyperactive mask . And the eyebrow added words " HIT ME " .

MASK

What is MASK ????? 
Usually the proper way we explained about mask is an object normally worn on face, typically for protection , disguise , performance or entertainment . Masks have been used since antiquity for both ceremonial and practical purposes. They are usually worn on the face, although they may also be positioned for effect elsewhere on the wearer's body, so in parts of Australia giant totem masks cover the body, whilst Inuit women use finger masks during storytelling and dancing

But in my way to say , mask is also a face that we can hide behind it or we wants role taking in the character we like . 
Not only that , masks also a good face to hide our expression giving mysterious and also hide your weakness with a mask . 

The Phantom of The Opera , when he is with the mask , he is confidence and he looks like another person .

But , when he took off his mask , he is afraid and lose all his confidence , he is afraid of people look on his face . This is the one of what i'm saying , using the mask as a new faces and hide behind of it .

This is another different way of using mask . Some of them create a horror movie with using mask . They created a scary , creepy faces . They using this mask to frightened peoples . They using it with confidence .

CHINA MASKS

In China masks are thought to have originated in ancient religious ceremonies. Images of people wearing masks have been found in rock paintings along the Yangtze River. Later mask forms brings together myths and symbols from Shamanism and Buddhism.This is another way of using masks , they use it as a chinese dramatic art . They called it as Bian Lian (变脸) . They change their mask within a second .

4 ways of face changing :

Blowing Dust (simplified Chinese: 吹脸)

The actor blows black dust hidden in his palm or close to his eyes, nose or mouth, so that it obscures his face.

Beard Manipulation (simplified Chinese: 髯口功夫)

Beard colors can be changed while the beard is being manipulated, from black to gray and finally to white, expressing anger or excitement.

Pulling-downing Masks (simplified Chinese: 扯脸)

The actor can pull down a mask which has previously been hidden on top of his head, changing his face to red, green, blue or black to express happiness, hate, anger or sadness, respectively.

Face-dragging (simplified Chinese: 抹脸)

The actor drags greasepaint hidden in his sideburns or eyebrows across his face to change his appearance

The Mask of Zorro , it is about a mysterious avenger . Is just with a black plain mask. This is another way to hide his face with using mask .

Final outcome : ICON

This is my icon . The first you can see that's a light bulb . Look through it , it is actually a snail inside of the light bulb , and is squeezing . Around the snail , that are bubbles . I applied my icon to the book . I used a light bulb , because light bulb can pointed u to the right way and can bright up . Not only that , when you're thinking the light bulb will appeared in your mind is like " DING " . The squeezing snail inside the light bulb that is because i like snail and usually i drew snail and i wanna make it more cartoon cause is for a story books . Not only that , the snail's shell actually is something there . There is a green color with alphabet "J" , green represented nature . The pink "Y" , that represented sweet . The following alphabet light blue of "C" ,  represented harmony . The alphabet of orange "X" is represented to healing . The alphabets of "J","Y","C" and "X" is actually short form of my name , Joanne Yen Chang Xin . Bubbles around the snail , i used few colors such as blue, red and violet , this is because the colors represented energy , this showed that the energy bubbles . The bubbles that can give you energy . Violet represented spirit , red represented life and blue represented harmony . The colors also showed the contrast . After that , i applied the icon to the cover of books . I wanted to have my own story books for kids , so whenever see the icon that can represented me . What actually inspired me , it is not due to my researched , is totally inspired on my own .

GAY ICON

What is icon ?!?! This word keep thinking in my mind . I even google image about it what is icon . And i started to do some research . Icon is one of the most common religious work of art , most commonly a painting .  Firstly i thought is religious work of art . But after that i found out that is a lot of icons . Finally i found out one of the icon that really attracted me , GAY ICON . Then , i started to do my research of gay icon . 

She is an actress and singer Judy Garland is cited as one of the quintessential gay icons . 

Basically , gay icons is a public figure who is included with lessbian , gay , bisexual and transgender . Transgender which means is a general term applied to a variety of individuals , behaviors and groups involving tendencies to vary from culturally conventional gender roles .

Based on the historical example of gay icons , this is Saint Sebastian . Saint Sebastian is the history's first recorded as gay icons . A Christian saint and martyr . Look through it , is a strong and shirtless physique arrow-pierced flesh, and rapturous look of pain combined have intrigued artists . 

For the modern examples , this is a indian gay icon Abhishek Bachchan. Basically , modern gay icons in entertainment include film stars and musicians whom have strong distinctive personalities and under tragic circumstances .

Cyndi Lauper , one of the modern example of gay icons . A rainbow colour dress on her . Actually this is called a Rainbow Flag . The most widely known is pride flag representing gay flag . Besides that , the best known as the rainbow flag is also known as " the freedom flag " . This is a popularized a icon of lessbian , gay , bisexual and transgender . The different colors represented diversity in the gay community, and the flag is used predominantly at gay pride events and gay villages . It forms including banners , clothing and jewelry. The colors were designed as red is life , orange is healing , yellow is sunlight , green is nature , blue is harmony and violet is spirit .

Lady Gaga , she considered one of the biggest gay icons of modern times .

What is ICONOGRAPHY ???

What is iconography ??? Basically iconography is the branch of art history that we studied for the identification , description and the interpretation of the content of images . The word iconography is come from Greek .

Comedy assignment

This is our comedy presentation . Basically this is a parody comedy . What is comedy ?!?! Our mind will straight come to the point , FUNNY . Comedy inducing laughter, especially in theatre, television, film and stand-up comedy. What is parody comedy ?!?! A parody in current to use as a work create to mock, comment on or trivialise an original work, its subject, author, style . Parody also might be found in art culture including music , animation , gaming and film . We choosed parody comedy , we did some researched about it , and we found out a way to present . We used a song named " Call Me Maybe " . And decided to group in the last minute with (Darlene) and we just practised for once . In this assignment , i learnt about comedy not only happened in movie , film or stand-up comedy . It also happened in art culture .
